Apperture Photographs - 14 February 2011
For these photographs i was demonstrating that i could change the aperture settings on the camera's that we use to change the depth of field of my photographs. The depth of field is how blurred or not blurred the back ground of the photographs are. If the aperture is set to be larger then the depth of field is more shallow creating a more blurred effect on the back ground, when the aperture is set to a smaller size the depth of field is larger, this means that the beckground is less blurred.

Production monitoring blog
Last week I booked my photo shoot, and have come up with my final ideas for my product, i have drawn out the flat plan for my magazine front cover and my magazine double page spread. I have organised my model and organised most of the props that i need for my product. I so far only encountered one problem which was the issue of finding when my model was able to come and do the photo shoot, however I already knew that this would occur and I therefore got a copy of the models timetable so i could find an appropriate time to book the shoot. For this week, I must make it definate that I have all of the probs and equipment i need for my photoshoot and make sure that my model is going to be there for the photoshoot. I then need to go to my photoshoot and make sure that i get enough photographs taken and save them to a computer and memory stick.

Music magazine front cover
This link is for the tutorial i used to develop the heading on this magazine front cover. http://pshero.com/photoshop-tutorials/graphic-design/vanity-license-plate

top 18mm, bottom 10mm, outside 12mm, gutter 6mm, 15mm inside.
I created a magazine front cover at the size of another, professional magazine it was just larger than A4 size. I used a photoshop tutorial that i found on the internet to desing the "sign" headline. I also used an outside wall as the back drop to make it look like more of a casual looking magazine, and as it is on a street it is not a usual backdrop and will stand out from the crowd causing it to be eye catching for the target audience. My model is the same age as the people from the target audience, this helps the target audience be able to relate to them as they are wearing similar clothing and buy clothes from similar shops.
I took the measurements from an FHM magazine for my double page spread. It is an A4 sheet however, the outside border is 12mm, the top border is 18mm, the bottom border is 10mm, the gutter is 6mm and the inside is 15mm. I have used a black text with a red stroke to help it stand out making it eye catching. i have also used some images to draw the attention to the audience.
